*We will provide you with an obligation free quote.

Don’t be caught short by non-lawyers selling you templates and leaving you to represent yourself in front of the judge. We efficiently get you back on the road with minimum fuss, and do all the talking.

We negotiate with local prosecutors on your behalf - and can appear anywhere in New Zealand.

As our team deals with the Police Prosecution Service every day, we know what Police are likely to agree to and how to get the best outcome for you. Agreement ahead of the court date saves time and stress.

We know what the judge is likely to agree to, even if Police won't agree. If Police oppose your application, you want the backing of experienced court lawyers who advocate hard for you and support you throughout the process.

"That sounds great. Are you expensive?"

Our full service is $1100+gst or we draft the court documents for $449+gst.

What's the process? Do I need to go to court?

The first step to getting a limited licence (often called a work licence) requires a written application to the court and a hearing.

Robinson Legal will take care of the application, liaise with police and represent you in court.

Our team will prepare your court application, including any affidavits (sworn statements) and other evidence such as maps, etc. We’ll speak with your employer and others as necessary.

Once the application is finalised, we'll negotiate acceptable licence conditions with Police Prosecutions on your behalf so you probably don't have to argue it on the day - just have it stamped by a judge after the parties agree. This makes the hearing much simpler and less stressful. So does having a lawyer do all the talking for you.

Once the court has granted an order authorising you to get a limited licence, then the second step is you applying to the NZ Transport Agency for the licence. This is a step you can complete yourself and further information is available on the NZTA website.

The most effective way back onto the road.

Our lawyers can appear at most courts around New Zealand to help restore your licence.

First, we'll draft one or more affidavits and supporting court documentation.

Second, we negotiate the best possible outcome with Police before going to court wherever possible. So you know the outcome before you stand in front of the judge.

If Police oppose your application, you know you've got experienced court advocates arguing your case.

We'll get you back behind the wheel with minimum fuss and maximum efficiency.
